Long Hunter State Park

So the family were supposed to meet up with my Photography MEET UP group a weekend ago. And in typical Jennifer fashion, we missed the picnic, we couldn't find my group. So the hubby and I are at Long Hunter State park with our daughter and dog, Charlie; we go and pick a spot and have a picnic ourselves....Afterward I decided to get a few shots while we were there. Had a great time with the family!
Here are a few shots I got in that day!

And on a side note...for anyone interested in or is starting out in Photography, the MEET UP Group in Nashville is a great place to start.  The people are friendly, nice and extremely informative!!

Sunday with the Lanier's...

So a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Mike and Kerry's children.  I have been taking their pictures for the past three years, and it is one of my pleasures every year.

Unfortunately the day we had scheduled for their session, it was raining.  And quickly, Mike came up with the idea of shooting at The Factory.  So I hope you enjoy our impromptu session that was a joy to shoot.

The FUNgi....

So a last weekend I had a large fairy ring growing in our back yard.  Before carefully taking out everyone of those mushrooms, I decided to take a few images....

Marathon Works Shoot.

In August a group of local photographers, make up artists, and models got to together to do some collaborative work. I absolutely loved it! I had never worked with a model per se before and I found that I really enjoyed it. Katherine, Melissa, Angela, Daniel, and Ava were a few of the models I worked with. But it was also o a learning experience for those of us not used to Strobe work. I think I did decent job and really would like to do this again....

Here are a few of the best shots I got.....

Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk: Historic Franklin, Tennessee

As the title says, I was in the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. I just love these types of things, group of photographers getting together and just shooting what they see where ever they are. In college, my photography class would sometimes do this. Other times it was just a group of us, but either way, we would walk around Memphis shooting what we saw. So that is how I approached this walk, just for the fun of it. After is also one of my favorite times, the getting together and discussing our shots while eating something great. This time it was Puckett's breakfast.

So here are a few of my images from that morning.....

College and North Harris Road

On my way home, I saw the field being framed by these clouds. I just couldn't help but to stop and take a few pictures....
